AMAZONIA PROGRAMS
CUYABENO WILDLIFE RESERVE
4 DAYS/3 NIGHTS
Day 1:
Quito – Nueva Loja by plane** or bus*, transportation towards to Puente Cuyabeno (3 to 4 hours). After lunch we will continue by a dug-out motorized canoe along the Cuyabeno River, until we reach our campsite, close to the Laguna Grande. Dinner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we'll take a walk in the forest with a certified naturalist guide who'll explain the dynamic of the Amazonian forest. The path will take us toward to the Puerto Bolivar where the Siona community lives. We'll have the chance to see their lifestyle and learn about their customs, and then we will have lunch and rest. In the afternoon we'll take a trip by motorized canoe to the flooded Igapo forest which has the main presence of macrolobyum dead – like trees with abundant epiphytes. Here it's possible to spot the active birds and monkeys. Dinner. Overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 3:
We awake early in the morning for bird and wildlife watching. After breakfast we travel by motorized canoe, and then take a short walk in through a firm land forest. Time to swim in the lake. Lunch time and rest. In the afternoon, time to fish and enjoy the Lake area. At night we'll have the chance to see and hear the nocturnal activity of animals such as caimans (alligator family). Dinner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 4:
After breakfast and early in the morning, we travel by canoe up-river to El Puente where out transportation will take us to Nueva Loja for our departure flight/bus to Quito .

CUYABENO WILDLIFE RESERVE
5 DAYS/4 NIGHTS
Day 1:
Departure at 11:00am, travel from Lago Agrio – transportation towards to Puente Cuyabeno (3 to 4 hours). After lunch we will continue by dug-out motorized canoe along the Cuyabeno River until we reach our campsite, close to Laguna Grande. In the big lagoon we'll take a swim, have dinner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 2:
After breakfast, we'll take a walk in the forest with a certified naturalist guide who'll explain the dynamic of the Amazonian forest, and then we will have lunch and rest. In the afternoon we'll take a trip by motorized canoe to the flooded Igapo forest which has the main presence of Macrolobyum dead-like trees with abundant epiphytes. Here it's possible to spot the active birds and monkeys. Dinner. At night we'll have the chance to see and hear the nocturnal activity of animals such as caimans (alligator family), night birds and insects. Overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 3:
After breakfast we navigate downstream until meeting the path that took us toward to Puerto Bolivar where the Siona community lives. We'll have the chance to see their lifestyle and learn about their customs. Return to Hot Spots Camp. In the afternoon we'll take the canoe to visit part of the lagoons to observe the flora and fauna. Also we'll have the opportunity to practice sport fishing as well as enjoy a refreshing swim in Laguna Grande. Diner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 4:
We awake early in the morning for bird and wildlife watching. After breakfast we travel by motorized canoe to another lagoon where we navigate the surroundings without the motor so as not to disturb the native fauna in this place of maximum protection. Lunch. In the afternoon we have a short walk through the forest. Special last night. Dinner in the Hot Spot Camp.
Day 5:
After breakfast and early in the morning we travel by canoe up-river to El Puente where our transportation will take us to Lago Agrio for our departure flight/bus to Quito.

INDIAN COMMUNITY AND CUYABENO WILDLIFE RESERVE
6 DAYS/5 NIGHTS
Day 1:
Quito-Lago Agrio by plane** or public transportation*. We take the transportation toward Chiritza Port. After lunch we continue by dug-out motorized canoe along the Aguarico river until we reach the Secoya community where we have our lodging. We'll then take a short walk around the surroundings of the village where we'll have a chance to see their lifestyle and learn about their customs. Dinner and overnight in Agarico camp.
Day 2:
After breakfast we continue navigating the Aguarico river downstream observing the characteristics of the forest growing along this big river (white waters), as well as bird life. We'll eat lunch on one of the banks of the river. We arrive at the mouth of the Cuyabeno river (black waters) along with the Aguarico and continue navigating to one of the campsites that belong to the Quichua community. After dinner we have an exciting short night walk into the forest to listen the different sounds of insects and animals. Overnight in Aguas Negras camp.
Day 3:
We awake early in the morning for bird watching in a watch-tower 25 meters high. Breakfast. We continue navigating upstream on the Cuyabeno River until we reach our next campsite. We have lunch and time to rest. During the afternoon we take a trip by motorized canoe to the flooded Igapo forest which has the presence of Macrolobyum dead-like trees with abundant epiphytes. There it is possible to spot the active life of birds and monkeys. There we have the opportunity to practice sport fishing (optional) as well as enjoy a refreshing swim in the Laguna Grande. Dinner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 4:
After breakfast, we'll take a walk in the forest with a certified naturalist guide who'll explain the dynamic of the Amazonian forest. After lunch, we travel to Canangueno lagoon by motorized canoe where we navigate the surroundings without the motor so as not to disturb the native fauna in this place of maximum protection. Perhaps we'll have the opportunity to practice sport fishing (optional) as well as enjoy a refreshing swim in the Laguna Grande. Dinner and overnight in the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 5:
After breakfast, we'll take a walk in the firm land forest which is surrounded by water and have the opportunity to find some animal activity. After lunch we navigate to Aguas Negras Lake. Return to the Hot Spots Camp.
Day 6:
After breakfast, early in the morning, our transportation will bring us to Lago Agrio.
Departure Flight/bus to Quito .

LAGARTOCOCHA-CUYABENO WILDLIFE RESERE
8 DAYS/7 NIGHTS
Day 1:
Departure from Lago Agrio, we travel by truck to Chiritza where we begin our canoe ride down the Aguarico River to our first campsite. After dinner we prepare for our adventure night walk, where it is possible to view tarantulas, bats, other nocturnal animals and a wide range of gigantic insects.
Day 2:
In the morning, after breakfast, we travel down the Aguarico River. In the afternoon we'll reach our second campsite where we'll pitch our tents. We trekk into the lush primary rainforest.
Day 3:
We awake early for a morning canoe journey to view exotic birds and wildlife. After breakfast we travel by motorized canoe to reach our third campsite in the Lagartacocha area (border with Peru). Later we have an enjoyable swim in the stunning tropical surroundings.
Day 4:
After breakfast, we venture into the primary rainforest. Our native guide inspires us with his ancestral knowledge of the different practical and medicinal uses of tropical plants. After lunch, we explore the wonderful area where it is possible to see pink dolphins. After dinner we search for caimans (alligator family) and nocturnal birds on our night excursion.
Day 5:
This day after breakfast, we trekk into a diverse tropical location where our native and naturalist guides explain the rainforest's different ecosystems. We return to our campsite for lunch. In the afternoon we practice Piranha fishing. Later we travel back to our campsite for dinner.
Day 6:
After breakfast we travel up the Lagartococha River for bird and wildlife watching and enjoy the spectacular surroundings. We return to our second campsite.
Day 7:
We take an early morning canoe ride. After breakfast we travel up-river back to our first campsite. In the last afternoon we relax and enjoy the sounds of the Amazon.
Day 8:
After an early breakfast we travel by canoe up the Aguarico River to Chiritza where our bus will take us to Lago Agrio for our departure flight/bus to Quito.
