In a small country with a population of just over 13 million people, Ecuador is crossed in its middle by the equator line. It is a country with tremendous biodiversity, a multitude of cultures, languages and traditions, the most dominating of which is Quichua and Spanish. Ecuador is home to 4 mega diverse land regions:

The Amazon, boasting a huge variety of flora and fauna seen nowhere else in the world.

The Andes, stretching from North to South, is lined with some of the world's highest active snowcapped volcanoes including the famous Cotopaxi which means "Neck of the Moon". Chimborazo is the highest and due to its placement on the curvature of the Earth, is also the closest point to the sun or farthest point from the center of the earth.

The Pacific Coast, with its warm waters and sandy beaches are ideal for a variety of water sports.

And last but certainly not least, the paradise islands of the Galapagos. One of the most unique environments on Earth where humans are greeted by the hospitality of endemic animal life.

All this in one tiny little coutnry!
